Arjun Kapoor was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her father is Hindi film producer Bonnie Kapoor and her mother is industrialist Mona Shourie Kapoor. He is the nephew of actor Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor and his uncle is producer Sandeep Marwar. Arjun is the half-brother and cousin of actress Sonam Kapoor, actor Mohit Marwa, and producer Riya Kapoor. Anshula Kapoor is his sister. Actress Sridevi is Arjun’s honest mother.
Arjun was quite fat in adolescence and early youth. He weighed about 140 kilograms. Arjun later said that due to that condition, he became “messy, bad-tempered” and “low-confident”. In 2003, Arjun first entered the film world. Arjun appeared as the first actor in Habib Faizal’s crime drama Ishaqzade. Parineeti Chopra was opposite him in this film. The name of the character played by Arjun in this film was Parma Chauhan. It is the character of a blind patriotic young man. He seduces the daughter of a rival family.
