In June 2021, Gaikwad was inducted into the Indian teams One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) for their series against Sri Lanka. He made his T20I debut with India against Sri Lanka on July 28, 2021.
Ruturaj Gaikwad Domestic Career : –
Gaikwad joined the cricket academy at the age of 13. He made his world-class debut for Maharashtra at the Ranji Trophy 2016-17 on October 6, 2016. On February 2, 2017, he made his Twenty20 debut for Maharashtra at the Interstate Twenty-20 2016-17 tournament. In the 2019 Ranji Trophy season. , he scored 199 in the first inning and 170 for Pune in the second inning, while opening for the Maharashtra cricket team against Chattisgarh. He became a party animal in that game. He made his A-list debut for Maharashtra at the 2016-17 Vijay Hazare Trophy on February 25, 2017.
In the Indian national cricket team, he has played for India A, India B, India Blue, IPL Chennai Super Kings and India U-23. Gaikwad was named to the India B team for the 2018-19 Deodhar Trophy. In December 2018, he was named to the Indian squad for the 2018 ACC Asian Cup Emerging Teams. He scored 187 non-away goals for India A against Sri Lanka A. In August 2019, he was added to India Blue’s squad for the 2019-2020 Duleep Trophy. In October 2019 he was inducted into the India B team for the Deodhar Trophy 2019-20.
