Bhanurekha Ganesan is better known as Rekha, is a popular actress in Hindi films. Rekha’s parents were not married and her father did not recognize her as a child. Growing up, Rekha followed in her father’s footsteps. Although she was half Tamil and half Telugu, she spoke Telugu at home. Rekha left school at an early age and began her career as an actress. Rekha is considered one of the evergreen sex appeal actresses of Bollywood. She started her film career as a child artist in 1966 with a Telugu film called Rangula Ratnam. But she started her career in Bollywood in 1970 by starring in a film called Shaon Vado. Rekha can also speak English, Hindi, and Urdu fluently.

Personal life :-
Rekha was married in 1990 to Mukesh Agarwal, a famous industrialist from Delhi. A year later, while Rekha was in America, Mukesh committed suicide after several attempts and wrote in a note that no one was responsible for it. Earlier, Rekha had married actor Binod Mehra in the media in 1973, but during a conversation with Simi Garewal on a television channel in 2004, Rekha refused to marry Mehra and referred to her as a well-wisher. Rekha is currently living at her home in Bandra, Mumbai.
Career :-
Rekha made her acting debut as a child artist in the Telugu film Rangula Ratnam (1966) as Baby Vanurekha. Rekha’s first work as a mature actress was in the Kannada film Operation Jackpot Nalli CID 999 (1969) opposite Rajkumar. In the same year, he acted in his first Hindi film Anjana Safar. He later claimed that he was inspired to act in a kissing scene with lead actor Biswajit in order to capture the foreign market and the kissing scene was printed in the Asian edition of Life magazine. The film faced censorship problems and was released almost a decade later in 1979 as Do Hunters. In 1970, she acted in two films, the first Telugu Amma Kosam and the second Sawan Badon. The second film is considered to be her acting debut in Bollywood. He had to learn Hindi because it was not his mother tongue. Sawan Bado received the hit badge and Rekha gained overnight star fame. Despite this success, he often admits contempt for his face. She received job offers in a few films, but none were significant and the characters had glamorous young roles. During this time he acted in several successful films including Rampur Ka Lakshan (1972), Kahani Kismat Ki (1973), and Pran Jaye Par Bachan Na Jaye (1974). Moreover, he was not discussed for his acting skills. She was more careful in choosing the characters for her films and her acting rich role was in the role of Amitabh Bachchan’s ambitious and greedy wife in the 1976 film Do Anjaane. It is the filming of Niharranjan Gupta’s Bengali novel Ratri Jatri, directed by Dulal Guha.
