Ishan Kisan is an Indian cricketer who plays for the Jharkhand cricket team. In September 2015 he was named captain of the Indian team for the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2018. Ishan is a left-handed goalkeeper. Ishan was signed by the Mumbai Indians for the Indian Premier League 2017 for 62 million rupees.

On November 6, 2016, Ishan Kishan scored 273 points against Delhi in the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy. It was the player’s highest score for Jharkhand in the Ranji Trophy. He was Jharkhand’s leading scorer in the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy with 484 points in six games. The Mumbai Indians bought him at the 2018 IPL auction and was Jharkhand’s top scorer at the Vijay Hazare Trophy with 405 points in nine games.

In October 2018 he was inducted into the India C-Team for the Deodhar Trophy 2018-19, marking a century in the tournament finals. In the next game, against Manipur, he scored 113 goals not eliminated to record centuries in a row in the tournament. Jharkhand finished his heats with 422/9, the highest aggregate result of any team in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He made seven catches behind stumps to record the most sacks taken by a goalkeeper in a List A-game.

International Career :-

In February 2021, Kishan was inducted into the Indian squad of Twenty20 International (T20I) for the series against England. He made his T20I debut for India on March 14, 2021, against England, scoring 56 out of 32 before eliminating Adil Rashid. India won the game by seven wickets with Kishan man of the game.

In June 2021 he was appointed to the Indian teams One Day International and Twenty20 International for their series against Sri Lanka. He made his ODI debut for India against Sri Lanka on July 18, 2021, scoring 59 of 42 balls. In September 2021, Kishan was named a member of the Indian team for the men’s ICC T20 World Cup 2021.
